Alina Shirinyan is founding member and member of the Board of You For Armenia. She is an experienced finance and accounting professional, member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of the UK – a globally recognized membership body for professional accountants. Alina is a member of management team at Grant Thornton Armenia, where she manages risk, ethics and independence, quality and compliance issues as Quality and Risk Manager. She also contributes to Grant Thornton network’s regional strategy by working with other firms to build up quality and risk management capabilities, and participates in network’s quality monitoring programme as a member of peer review teams.

Alina has been an avid supporter of community service and volunteerism since late 1990’s, when she completed her exchange studies in the USA and joined YFA as a member, later serving two terms on the Board, as Secretary and Vice-President. She has worked on a number of educational and community service projects implemented by YFA in Armenian schools and parent communities.

As Armenians around the world unite around various projects with a common objective of contributing to development of Armenia, Alina was keen to get involved in You For Armenia’s renewed mission.  She has pledged her experience with non-profits, both as a volunteer and as an auditor and business consultant, to support YFA in its work, to mobilize resources in meaningful initiatives to build a strong and prosperous Armenia.
