Gurgen Hakobyan is one of the founding members of You For Armenia. His journey with the organization started in 1995 when YFA was initially founded. Gurgen served two consecutive terms as a president of YFA since 1999, and has co-authored and co-managed a large number of projects aimed at the development of Armenia in educational, social and cultural areas. In the past years Gurgen has also made a successful career in professional services industry, and currently holds the position of the Regional Head for Grant Thornton International in CIS region.

At present Gurgen serves as the Chairman of the Board of YFA and among other areas oversees activities related to YFA sustainability, donor relations and collaboration with other stakeholder. Project design and organizational strategic planning is also areas where Gurgen contributes greatly.
